Ingredients

  1. 1 can(21 ounces) cinnamon and spice apple pie filling
  2. 1 can(21 ounce) cherry pie filling
  3. 1/2 cupall purpose flour
  4. 1/2 cupbutter, melted
  5. 1/4 cupsliced almonds
  6. 12roasted almond crunchy granola bars ( I use Nature Valley®)

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

    In ungeased 11 X 7 inch (2 quart) glass baking dish, mix pie fillings.

  3. 3

    In a large bowl, mix crushed granola bars, flour and butter until crumbly.

  4. 4

    Stir in almonds.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle evenly over pie filling mixture.

  6. 6

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until edges are bubbly and center is thoroughly heated.

  7. 7

    Cool slightly, about 15 minutes.

  8. 8

    Serve warm or cool.

  9. 9

    *To easily crush the granola bars with a rolling pin, pound the unopened pouches until the bars ate broken into smaller pieces.*

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
