Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1/4 cuporzo (rice shaped pasta)
  • 3/4 cupwhite rice
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped pimiento
  • 1/2 tspcelery leaf flakes
  • 1 tspparsley flakes
  • 1/4 tspdry mustard
  • 1/4 cupolive oil
  • 1/4to 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/8to 1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
  • 1(14 ounce) can chicken broth

Steps

  1. 1

    In a 2 quart saucepan, combine all ingredients except the salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Bring to a boil, stirring often.

  3. 3

    Cover and remove from the heat.

  4. 4

    Let stand for 15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Fluff the rice mixture with a fork every 5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Add salt and pepper to taste.

  7. 7

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
