Ingredients

4 servings
  • 250 gmdried peas - soaked for almost 6 hrs and boiled
  • 1 Onion
  • 1Tomato
  • 1green chilly
  • 1 tbsplemon juice -
  • 1 tspjeera powder
  • 1 tspchat masala
  • as per tastesalt and pepper -
  • to tastegreen chutney
  • to tastetamarind chutney - optional

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak Peas and pressure cook till done. add salt in water while soaking peas and pressure cook in the same water.

  2. 2

    Peas should be mushy but not done like paste, keep quantity of water less

  3. 3

    Add finely chopped, onion, tomato, chilly

  4. 4

    Mix everything together with spices and lemon juice, mix well

  5. 5

    Add chutney while serving.

  6. 6

    Tip: You can also add boiled or fried potatoes in this.
