It's Sandwich Week here in the O'Brien Shire! With that, my culinary students were allowed to make any extra cheesy sandwich they wanted to. I thought this stupid easy, extra juicy cheesy recipe was the most delicious of all their recipes! Excellent work you teeny tiny culinary students! Nom nom nom! Great photo's too!

  • 4 SlicesSwiss Cheese
  • 4 SlicesProvolone Cheese
  • ● For The Proteins
  • 2 (10 oz)80/20 Beef Patties
  • ● For The Vegetable/Burger Seasonings & Herbs
  • 1/2 CupFresh Cilantro Leaves [put in with vegetables]
  • 1 PacketLipton Onion Soup [to be pressed on to your patties]
  • to tasteFresh Ground Black Pepper [on vegetables]
  • to tasteGranulated Garlic Powder [on vegetables]
  • to tasteGranulated Onion Powder [on vegetables]
  • ● For The Vegetables [all to be deseeded, julienned & sauteed]
  • 2LG Sweet Viadalia Onions
  • 1Medium Green Bell Pepper
  • 1Medium Red Bell Pepper
  • 1Medium Orange Bell Pepper
  • 1Medium Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 2 CupsThick Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1EX LG Jalapeno Pepper
  • ● For The Oils [for frying vegetables]
  • as neededGarlic Olive Oil
  • as neededSalted Butter
  • ● For The Sides
  • Mustard

Steps

20 Minutes
  1. 1

    Here's the bulk of what you'll need. Butter, herbs and spices not pictured.

    Saute your vegetables in butter and garlic olive oil as needed.

    Add your mushrooms once vegetables are slightly translucent.

    Your Lipton coated 10 oz patties and both cheeses pictured.

    Add your coated patty to the center of your peppers and mushrooms and fry until done

    Add all four of your cheeses, cover and steam

    Serve with plain dry rye bread crispy steak fries. Don't worry about any dryness. The juices from your burger and your veggies will more than take care of that! Enjoy!

Hense my love for the year round super fresh meats, seafoods and crispy fresh vegetables my students have consistently listed for your families picky approval!With that, cooking, teaching and feeding others are obviously 3 of my absolute passions in life. My culinary specialties as an easy going Chef include Asian, Mexican, Cajun, BBQing, Grilling, Irish Pub food, Low Country foods, anything seafood related, extra spicy foods, fresh meat, extra fresh vegetables, US comfort, kid friendly and super fast, quick and easy foods. But, I'll literally put anything in my mouth at least once. Pfft! My daddy didn't nickname me, "Goat," at two years of age for nothin'! Yup! I'll literally put anything in my mouth at least once!P.S.
