  1. Sauce
  2. 2 tbspoyster sauce
  3. 1 tbspsoy sauce
  4. 2 tbspwater
  5. Fixin‘
  6. 1 1/2 tbspolive oil, extra virgin
  7. 3 clovegarlic, thinly sliced
  8. 1 mediumonion, thinly sliced
  9. 1 mediumcarrot, chopped
  10. 1 smallhot pepper, thinly sliced
  11. 1 cupscallion, cut into 1 1/2 inch length
  12. 4 sliceturkey bacon, sliced
  13. Final touch
  14. 2 lbfresh mussels
  15. 1 tbspsesame oil
  16. 2 tbspcooking wine
  17. 1 tspsugar

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    soak fresh mussels in cold water for 30 min. Rinse a few times to ensure shells are clean.

  2. 2

    Drain the water, set aside mussels

  3. 3

    Heat olive oil in a large deep pot

  4. 4

    Add all of the vegetables and bacon (fixin‘) to the pot, stir fry for 2 minutes

  5. 5

    Add in sauce ingredients and cook for 1 minute

  6. 6

    Add in mussels and rest of the ingredients and cook with lid on until all of the mussels open, about 3 minutes

  7. 7

    Serve!
