Ingredients

serves people
  • 3 canscream of mushroom soup
  • 2 lbground turkey
  • 1 packagebreakfast sausage (8 to 10 links)
  • 1 canblack beans
  • 1 canlentils
  • 1vidalia onion chopped
  • 1 canpork and beans
  • 1 cuppearl barley
  • 1carrot quartered then sliced
  • 1rib celery chopped
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tspmarjoram
  • 1/2 tsppoultry seasoning or ground sage
  • 1 tspdried dill
  • 1/4 tspblack pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Brown sausages in a frying pan. Remove and cut into 1/3rds.

  2. 2

    Add ground turkey, sausage, 2 cans of mushroom soup, black beans, lentils, pork and beans, celery, onion, carrots and all seasonings to slow cooker.

  3. 3

    Cook on high for 5 hours.

  4. 4

    After 5 hours, add 1 cup of pearl barley to crock pot. Stir. Cover on high.

  5. 5

    After an hour, the chili should be thicker since barley will absorb a lot of liquid. Add the 3rd can of cream of mushroom soup to the pot and stir. Cover 15 to 20 min.
