Ingredients

  1. 1 lbBoneless chicken breast, trimmed and cut into bite size chunks
  2. 3 tbspLow sodium soy sauce, or substitute
  3. 1 tbspOlive oil
  4. 3 tspHoney or agave syrup
  5. 1/4 cupGarlic powder
  6. 2 tbspWhite, untoasted sesame seeds (or to taste)
  7. 1 pinchBlack pepper
  8. 1 pinchGround ginger
  9. 1 pinchGround cinnamon
  10. 2 cupWhole wheat flour (or regular flour)
  11. 1 tspMinced garlic
  12. 1as needed Coconut oil for cooking chicken

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine all ingredients except for the chicken, minced garlic, coconut oil, and flour in a bowl. You can add more pepper, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon to taste. I use a pinch or two of each.

    Coat chicken with flour and set aside

  3. 3

    In a large skillet add small amount of Coconut oil (about a tsp to a tbsp), minced garlic and chicken. Brown the chicken lightly on medium to medium high heat.

  4. 4

    After the chicken is cooked add the sauce. Stir the sauce around the chicken and cook for a few minutes on medium to low heat. Don't let sauce boil it thickens very quickly.
