No real story behind this recipe; just want to add a few notes. I personally like to bake chicken better than fry in oil, so when I use this recipe, I modify it. I bake the chicken in the oven with the applesauce and BBQ mixture poured over it. It turns out really good and the flavor is so good too!

Ingredients

4 servings

4Boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 tspPepper
1 tbspOlive oil
2/3 cupChunky applesauce
1 cupSpicy BBQ sauce
2 tbspBrown sugar
1 tspChili powder

Sprinkle thawed chicken with pepper.

In a large skillet, brown chicken in oil on both sides.

In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; pour over chicken.

Cook 7-10 minutes longer, covered, until do e and juices run clear.
