Recipe I just decided to make one day using fresh ripe plum tomatoes instead of using tomatoes in a can

Ingredients

  1. 10plum tomatoes or can of chopped tomatoes
  2. 1whole head of garlic
  3. 6fresh basil leaves
  4. 1 tbspolive oil
  5. 1 tspsalt
  6. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  7. 1/2 tspdried oregano
  8. 1tomato paste & water if needed

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    add olive oil to pan on medium heat & add minced garlic & do not let burn

  2. 2

    chop tomatoes & remove seeds & add to pan if you don't want skin from tomatoes boil for a minute and peel skin off...or empty can of chopped tomatoes into pan & either way add a cup of water unless you like a very thick sauce

    add all other ingredients & stir in & let cook on medium heat

    if sauce is too watery add tablespoon of tomato paste at a time until desired thickness is reached

  5. 5

    cook & let simmer for another 15 minutes stirring & pressing down to crush tomatoes

  6. 6

    cook until desired thickness is reaches & serve on top of your favorite pasta or food & enjoy!
