Ingredients

12 servings
  1. 5 mediumpotatoes
  2. 1/2 cupbutter
  3. 3 cupmilk
  4. 6 tbspall-purpose flour
  5. 2 tbspsalt
  6. 1 tbspblack pepper
  7. 1 dashgarlic powder
  8. 3 cupcheese
  9. Tools
  10. 1/2cup
  11. 1cup
  12. 1tablespoon
  13. 3/4cup
  14. 1 mediumsauce pan
  15. 1baking pan
  16. 1cooking spoon

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 400°F Fahrenheit

  2. 2

    Butter a large baking pan

  3. 3

    Mix butter, milk, flour, salt, and pepperon stovetop until creamy (aprox. 2 min)

  4. 4

    Pour sauce into baking pan enough to cover the bottom

  5. 5

    Layer baking pan with sliced potatoes.

  6. 6

    Repeat steps 4 & 5 until no more sauce or potatoes.

  7. 7

    Cover with with foil and bake in oven for 45 minutes.

  8. 8

    Take out, remove foil, and convert top with cheese (if you want) and put back in oven for 15 minutes. Do not recover with foil.

  9. 9

    Let cool and enjoy.
