
Blondie's Mom's Simple Gingerbread Cookies

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, stir butter and sugar together with an electric mixer or by using a fork.

Add molasses and egg and stir again.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and ground ginger.

Pour dry ingredients into wet.

Mix and stir until you have a nice brown dough.

On a floured board, roll out dough with a rolling pin or press it out with your fingers.

Cut dough into shapes with cookie cutters and lay them on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on how thick your cookies are and whether you want them chewy or crispy.

After cookies are cool, you can decorate them with icing if you wish.
