Cream together butter and sugar.add in vanilla and mix together.add in flour gradually then chocolate chips

Let chill10 minutes.put wax paper on cookie sheet.roll into small to medium balls and bake15 minutes

I make this recipe all the time and it always turns out great. It makes 3 or 4 batches of cookies, so the whole recipe takes like 3 hours, but you can just make one batch and put the remaining batter in the freezer for another day :)I also switch the recipe a lot, for example I used lemon zest and juice instead of chocolate, or cocoa and white chocolate, or dates and raisins and nuts.
