Ingredients

  • stuffed eggs
  • 6 largehard boiled eggs. Peeled, yolk removed and reserved and cut lengthwise.
  • 4 tbspcottage cheese, drained of excess liquid
  • 2 tspbrown mustard
  • 2 tspsour cream
  • 2 tspfresh chives, finely chopped
  • 8 ozhoney ham, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/8 tspblack pepper
  • 1 cupplain bread crumbs
  • 4 tbspmelted butter

  1. 1

    Once eggs are boiled, peel, cut lengthwise and reserve yolks in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add all other ingredients except for bread crumbs and melted butter.

  3. 3

    Mix all these ingredients well. You may pulse a couple times in blender or food processor to achieve a well mixed consistency.

    In a small bowl mix bread crumbs with melted butter.

  5. 5

    Heat up oven' s broiler.

  6. 6

    Now to assemble.

  7. 7

    On baking tray line up the 12 halves of egg whites.

  8. 8

    Mound equal portions of filling into each egg white. Filling will be high. Press it to pack it in firmly.

  9. 9

    Press bread crumbs over each egg filling.

  10. 10

    Broil until just golden. Keep a close eye on these so not to burn.

  11. 11

    Enjoy fresh and you must refrigerate leftovers.
