I almost feel guilty calling this a recipe! It's so easy and delicious. I threw it together because I had flank steak left from making lo mein last night and some asparagus in the fridge, and I really wanted to use the egg I collected from my backyard duck this morning. One of the best things I have ever eaten.

Ingredients

15 mins
1 serving
  1. 1 pieceCarne Asada (Flank Steak)
  2. 1Duck egg
  3. 1 bunchAsparagus
  4. black pepper
  5. Himalayan Pink Salt
  6. Tony's Creole Seasoning (or your favorite)
  7. 1 tbspolive oil, extra virgin

Cooking Instructions

15 mins
  1. 1

Brush asparagus with olive oil, dust with salt and pepper and place on preheated George Foreman grill.

  2. 2

Brush carne asada with olive oil, dust with creole seasoning. Place on the grill next to your asparagus. Steak will likely finish first, so feel free to take your time with this.

  3. 3

On stove top, fry your duck egg however you'd like. I prefer low heat, butter, salt and pepper. You can also choose to poach your egg. You do want a soft yolk.

  4. 4

Take steak off grill, and set on plate to rest.

  5. 5

Top steak with finished asparagus and duck egg.

  6. 6

    Enjoy!
