Pigeon Poop

During the school year I will read "Pigeon" books by Mo Wiillems. At the end of this author unit our class will make and enjoy this fun snack in honor of Pigeon, and the many "pickles" he gets himself into and tries to talk himself out of. Great stories, great snack.

Ok, so this recipe is not 100 percent mine. I got it from a really good friend a few years ago. It is also known as angel poop but the recipe is changed a bit. Warning: it is really good and addictive. Becky Webster -

Chickpea "cookie dough" Chickpea "cookie dough"
There are recipes for chickpea cookie dough everywhere on pinterest. This is my own version which I like very much. You can't really taste the chickpeas. The "dough" should be refrigerated and served cold. It has a very similar consistency to ice cream! (but if you store it in the freezer it's gonna freeze rock solid and will need thawing). bi11ie -
Puppy chow Puppy chow
I love recipes with a story... ages ago when I worked at a family pasta factory, a woman I worked with had came in with some puppy chow to snack on and sharing with other people and I got my hands on the recipe however this is not the recipe I’ve done lost that one ( 6 yrs ago) lol anyways my husband came home from work with muddy buddies chex said some guy from work gave it to him for his birthday bc i said why did u buy this i know how to make this lol 😂 so today i made him this , and gave him a bag to take to work to give to his work friend along with the recipe bc iam sure gas station chex muddy buddies are at a guess 6.00 when you can make it for less and get more. ( my kids got bags too ) i had forgot all about puppy chow until my husband came home with it , i used to make it around Christmas time, but its good all the time, going to start making it again forgot how easy and cheap it was. 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈 -
Polenta Polenta
When I attempted to make polenta using delicious corn on the cob, it came out much tastier than the store-bought kind.At first, only add a little bit of water, then add more as needed. This will help prevent it from becoming too watery.I also recommend baking it in the oven for a crispy texture. Recipe by Brandy cookpad.japan -

Porcupine Balls Porcupine Balls
Except for panko breadcrumbs and veal being used these used to be a staple during the Great Depression. They would use ground beef and regular or no breadcrumbs. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes. If you have leftover porcupine balls you can freeze them like you would meatballs. skunkmonkey101 -
Onion Pups Onion Pups
I love homemade onion rings, but I get a bit impatient battering and frying one ring at a time, especially when I'm craving a late-night snack. Knew there had to be a solution, so I developed this recipe. If you're making a lot of these for later consumption, prepare the pups (don't fry), place in a single layer on a cookie sheet, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and flash freeze the uncooked dough balls. Then vacuum seal and keep in the freezer. They go right from the freezer to the deep fryer. Frozen Onion Pup balls was what my daughter requested for a gift! :-) Maggie Conlon -
Coconut Bird's Nests Coconut Bird's Nests
So when I was a kid I LOVED Russell Stover's Bird's nests with the jelly beans in the middle, but they have slowly faded from existence over the years and I just can't find them anywhere anymore. This year I did see "bird nests" by R.S., but they were tiny and flat and, worst of all, NO JELLY BEANSSSSS! 😱I decided it was high time I cobble some together for myself. This is really a simple "haystack" recipe with the addition of smashing a few jelly beans in the middle. StephieCanCook
