Ingredients

  • 1 bowlRice- soaked
  • 1 katori Masur dal- soaked
  • as per tasteSalt
  • Pinchturmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoonBlack pepper powder-
  • 2Cloves
  • 1/2Black cardamom-
  • 1 teaspoonCumin seeds-
  • as neededWater
  • 2Chopped thin slices of onions
  • 1Chopped tomato
  • 1 teaspoonChopped ginger and garlic-
  • 1 Pinchhing

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a cooker and add cumin seeds,hing and saute them.

  2. 2

    Now add chopped ginger and garlic and saute them.

  3. 3

    Now add thin slices of onions and saute them.

  4. 4

    Now add chopped tomato and sure it.

  5. 5

    Now add turmeric powder,Black pepper powder,salt and mix well.

  6. 6

    Now add soaked and drained rice and dal and mix well.

  7. 7

    Now add water till they completely sink and give whistles.

  8. 8

    Serve hot.
