Ingredients

  • 200 gmsMushroom –
  • 1 Garlic –
  • 1 inch longwhole Ginger –
  • 3 Onion – medium sized finely chopped
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 2Tomatoes – medium sized
  • 2-3 Cardamom –
  • 1 tspCumin seeds –
  • 1 stickCinnamon –
  • 2 tbspVegetable Oil –
  • 2Bay leaves
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspTurmeric Powder –
  • 2 tspCumin Powder –
  • 2 tspCoriander Powder –
  • 2 tspRed chilli powder –
  • 1 Green chilies –finely choppe
  • 1 tbspCoriander leaves - finely chopped

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel the garlic cloves and chop the tomatoes and ginger into small pieces.

  2. 2

    In a mixer, add the peeled garlic cloves, chopped ginger and tomato.

  3. 3

    Add the spices like Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves and Bay leaves and grind it into a fine paste adding some water into it.

  4. 4

    Cut the mushroom into medium pieces and soak it in water and take it out. Add a pinch of turmeric powder.

  5. 5

    Heat a pan, add the vegetable oil to the pan.

  6. 6

    Splutter the cumin seeds to the hot oil.

  7. 7

    Add the onion and saute it till it’s translucent.

  8. 8

    Add the finely ground paste to the pan and add the turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and cumin powder and cook it.

  9. 9

    Cook the spices till the oil separated from the mixture.

  10. 10

    Add the cut mushrooms to it.

  11. 11

    Extra water is not required to be added as mushroom releases water.

  12. 12

    Cook till the mushroom get’s softened.

  13. 13

    Granish with coriander leaves and serve with khachori
