I like to add some chilli powder and/or ground habanero pepper for extra kick. You can season these however you like to make many different flavored chips.

I like to add some chilli powder and/or ground habanero pepper for extra kick. You can season these however you like to make many different flavored chips.

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Beat the egg white in a small bowl, lightly brush tortilla with egg white. I fix these right in the baking sheet or pizza stone for easy cleanup

Sprinkle tortilla with cayenne pepper, add cheese, then jalapeño.

Cut each tortilla into eighths, and arrange on baking sheet/stone.

Bake for 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Run a pizza cutter through previous cuts to slice through cheese ***Note I added a bit too much cheese which made them a little soggy so I let them cool to the touch, rearranged again, then popped back into the oven for a nice crunchy chip.

Serve alone, with salsa, or your favorite dip.....Enjoy!!!
