This recipe was inspired by my visit to a friends house. I wanted to whip-up this for breakfast, but at the absence of an oven this is a perfect alternative. I always love granola weather it is in a bar or home-made in zip-locked bag. I love the taste of spices as well as the crunch I get from the roasted oats and the fresh fruits. This is an excellent snack and breakfast since it gives you your daily dose of fiber and vitamins. It also keeps you full for a long time. So I hope you guys would try my recipe and love it like I do.

Ingredients

  1. 3 cuprolled oats
  2. 3 tbspolive oil
  3. 1 tspground cinnamon
  4. 1/4 tspground nutmeg
  5. 1/2 tspsalt
  6. 5 tbsphoney
  7. 1 cupchopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews, and peanuts)
  8. 1 cupdried fruits (rasins, currants, mangoes, daets, and berries)
  9. 1/2 cupfresh fruits (optional upon consumption)

  1. 1

    Pan roast 3 cups of rolled oats on a cast iron pan - constantly storing to avoid burning. Once the oats appear to be slightly tan in color add in the 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 3 tablespoons of oil. When the oats turn a deep tan color add in the honey, nuts, dried fruits, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, turn off the fire and mix all ingredients thoroughly. (optional) Once done add freshly chopped apples, papayas, kiwi, berries, grapes, bananas, or yogurt And lastly Enjoy!!!
