Steps

Soak the dal in two cups of water for a hour.after a hour drain it.

Add two cups of waters, salt and turmeric powder to the dal and cook well in cooker.

Heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds,fennel seeds,cloves than add chopped onion and saute it
- 4
Onion till lightly browned than add chopped ginger also.
- 5
After saute onion and ginger add cooked dal into it and add Asafoetida a pinch.
