Ingredients

  • 1 cupBengal gram flour
  • 1 1/2 cupSemolina
  • 1/2 teaspooncitric acid
  • 1 tablespoonssugar
  • 1 tablespoonsginger and chilli paste
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tablespoonsoil
  • 1/2 teaspoonmustard seeds
  • 1 pinchasafoetida
  • 2 tablespoonsGreen paste (spinach and coriander leaves paste)
  • as neededCurry leaves
  • 2 tablespoonslemon juice

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine the gram flour, semolina, citric acid, sugar, ginger and chilli paste and salt with 3/4 cup of water In a deep bowl and mix well till no lumps remain.

    Add the eno and 1tablespoons of water over it. When the bubbles from, mix gently.

  3. 3

    Divide the batter into the two bowls and one bowl add green paste and mix well.

  4. 4

    Pour the batter into a greased microwave dish yellow batter and micro for 2 minutes in high power.

  5. 5

    Now add the green batter on the top of the yellow batter and again micro for another 2 minutes.

  6. 6

    Heat oil in a micro safe small bowl and mustard seeds,,asafoetida, 1tablespoons oil, lemon juice, add the microwave on high power for 1 minutes.

  7. 7

    Pour equal quantities of the tempering over the steamed Dhokla and garnish it with curry leaves.
