Curried arvi and gram flour chapati is the best combination. Gram flour chapati is consumed in our house, not only with curried arvi but also with dried potato sabji, karonde ki sabji and bhindi masala as well.
Onion salad or curd onion is very good with arvi ki sabji and gram flour flat bread. There is no need for too many ingredients to prepare arvi ki sabji.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kgColocasia/ Arvi
  • 2 tbspOnion paste
  • 1 tspGinger paste
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tbspCoriander powder
  • 3 tbspOil
  • 2 tspCaraway seeds/ Ajwain
  • 1/2tspHing
  • For gram flour chapati:-
  • Ingredients:-
  • 2 cupGram flour
  • 1/2 cupWheat flour
  • 1 pinchSalt
  • 1 tspKasoori methi powder
  • 1 tspOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel, wash and cut into two halves the arvi. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and shallow fry the arvi till it become light golden brown keep aside. Now heat the oil in pressure cooker add ajwain let them crackle, add ginger, onion paste fry until golden.

    Now add dry spices turmeric, coriander, red chilli powder and salt cook the masala for 2 minute by stirring add colocasia and mix well. Add 2 glass of water cover and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.' switch off the gas. Serve with gram flour chapati and salad.

  3. 3

    Mix the all ingredients and kned the soft dough, cover with muslin cloth rest it for 1/2 hour. Now make the chapati with the help of your palms,cook the chapati till light golden,apply the ghee and serve hot.
