Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsoaked chanadal
  2. 3-4 cuprice flour
  3. 2-3onion
  4. 7-8 clovesgarlic
  5. 3-4green chilli
  6. 1 tspcumin powder
  7. 1 tspred chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tspasafoetida
  9. as neededChopped coriander
  10. To tasteSalt
  11. For tempering
  12. 1 tbspmustard seeds
  13. as neededCurry leaves
  14. 2green chilli
  15. 1sliced onion
  16. as neededOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and drain the chanadal and grind it in rough paste
    Take warm water and add in rice flour and make a smooth dough

  2. 2

    Keep it for rest for half an hour
    In the chanadal paste add chopped onions garlic green chilli coriander leaves cumin powder salt red chilli powder and asafoetida

  3. 3

    Make small balls of the rice dough and roll it in small puri and stuff in with the chanadal mixture
    Make all the phara in same way
    Take a steamer and grease the steam plate and arrange the prepared phara in it and let it steam for 20- 25 minutes

  4. 4

    Check it out with a knife inserting in it if comes out clean means the phara are cooked
    Take them out and cut them in two or three pieces

  5. 5

    Fry it on high flame for few minutes and then take it out on serving plate
    Garnish it with chopped coriander and serve it hot with green chutney
