Ingredients

  • Main ingredients
  • 1 tbspExtra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 lbSweet or hot italian sausage
  • 2 cloveGarlic, finely chopped
  • 1 smallOnion, chopped
  • 1/2 lbPepperoni, removed from casing and chopped
  • 1 can(14 oz.) Petite diced tomatoes, drained well
  • 3/4 cupShredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cupGrated parmigian reggiano or pecorino romano cheese.
  • 1 boxSnowflake ritz crackers

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Heat a skillet over medium-high heat

  2. 2

    Add evoo and brown the sausage then add garlic and onions and cook until onions are tender.remove and drain on paper towel.

  3. 3

    Warm pepperoni in the same pan then add back the sausage, garlic and onions.

  4. 4

    Transfer the meat mixture to the bottom of a casserole dish.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle the tomatoes over the meat.

  6. 6

    Top the tomatoes with cheese.

  7. 7

    Place the casserole under the broiler until the cheese is melted.

  8. 8

    Serve immediately with crackers for dipping.
