Pork Snout (Bar Snack)

When I was a kitchen assistant, I made this snack a lot, and I decided to make it at home. Honestly, it's nothing like what they serve in bars (as usual, haha). This is an excellent recipe for snacking. You can enjoy it with family and friends while having a beer or as a starter before a meal. This portion is enough for 2-3 people to snack on.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Buy half a clean pork snout. If there are any hairs left, you can burn them off.
- 2
Cut it into medium-sized pieces. Check the photo as an example. It's important that they are not too small because they will become very dry when fried. Also, try to make them about the same size so they cook evenly.
- 3
In a bowl, mix water with 3 teaspoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Add the meat and let it marinate for about two hours. Don't leave it much longer, or the meat will become too soft and won't be crispy when fried, which is the charm of this dish.
- 4
Let it drain for a few minutes. This is important because we are going to heat the oil quite a bit for frying, and if it's too wet, it will splatter when you put it in the oil, and you could get burned.
- 5
In a wide pan, heat plenty of oil. It's important that the pan is wide so the meat has space to fry well. Once the oil is hot, add the meat.
- 6
Fry for 10-15 minutes, keeping an eye on it and turning all the pieces so they cook evenly. First, they will turn a grayish color—don't worry, let them keep frying. The trick to knowing they are well-fried is when they turn a toasted color and the pieces of meat float.
- 7
Finally, remove the meat and let it drain well. What I do to make it delicious is put it in a bowl and, while it's still hot, sprinkle it generously with salt. Stir with a spoon to make sure all the pieces are well salted, adding more salt if necessary. Enjoy!

All ingredients are of choice, use what you have / what you like. Easy for subs or sandwiches , everything is all in one place easier to make subs or sandwiches. One of our favorites to make other than the salad bar one. Can use multiple containers one for vegetables and one for meats. I ran out of room on this one there, i still had banana peppers, lettuce, baby spinach, to use but not enough to use another container. In this one pictured I used: mushrooms, red onions, cucumber, black olives, ham, and turkey, lunchmeat, pepperoni and salami, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, and provolone cheese. Some compartments have two things in them: the meats and cheeses . This is a great option for on the go to take somewhere or even food prep . We like to pick out of throughout the week for lunches and restock as needed. snackle time -

I love chicken bars. I thought I could eat a lot if I used inexpensive boneless breast meat, so I came up with this recipe.Chicken breast gets tough if you overcook them, so it's best to fry them quickly over high heat. These are tastier if you let them rest for a while rather than eating them right away. For 4 servings. Recipe by Harunbouya cookpad.japan -
