Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/2 lbpork, cubed
  2. 1chicken breast
  3. 4 cupwater
  4. 4 tbspvegetable or corn oil
  5. 2 tbspminced garlic
  6. 1/2 cupchopped onion
  7. 1 tbspsalt
  8. 1/2 lbshrimp, shelled, deveined, and cut lengthwise
  9. 1/2 cupChinese sausage, sliced into 1/8 inch thick pieces
  10. 1 tbsppepper
  11. 1 tbsppatis or salt
  12. 2 cupcauliflower (divided into flowerets)
  13. 2 cupsnow peas
  14. 2 cupcabbage, sliced into inch strips
  15. 1 cupdiced carrots
  16. 1 cupsliced celery
  17. 1/4 cupfunded scallions (reserve some for garnish)
  18. 2 tbspsoy sauce
  19. 12 ozCantonese noodles (egg noodles)

Steps

  1. 1

    In a stockpot, boil pork and chicken breast in 4 cups water. When tender, remove from pot and slice into small pieces, about 1/2" strips. Reserve 3 cups broth.

    In frying pan, heat oil and saute garlic till brown; add onion and cook till transparent. Season with salt. Suite in pork, chicken, shrimps, Chinese sausage, pepper and patis or salt. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add reserved broth and vegetables. Season with soy sauce and sesame oil. Add noodles and cook till done. Season with patis or salt and pepper to taste. Top with scallions.

The recipe says to season with Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil. How much oil?Also, I think there are 2 misspellings. FIRST is 'Suite' in pork, chicken, shrimps, Chinese sausage, pepper and patis or salt. What is 'suite'?SECOND is '1/4 cup funded scallions (reserve some for garnish)'. What is 'funded scallions'? Google doesn't even know.
