Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupsplit fava beans, soaked overnight (about 50 grams)
  2. 1/4 cupchickpeas, soaked overnight (about 50 grams)
  3. 2 bunchesfresh cilantro
  4. 1onion
  5. 5 clovesgarlic
  6. Salt
  7. Cumin
  8. 1 teaspoonchili powder
  9. 1 tablespoonground coriander
  10. Pinchsesame seeds
  11. 3 cupsoil for frying (about 700 ml)

Steps

  1. 1

    In a food processor, combine the fava beans, chickpeas, cilantro, onion, and garlic. Process until you have a smooth paste.

  2. 2

    Season the mixture with salt, cumin, chili powder, and ground coriander. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Shape the mixture into medium-sized balls, sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
