sponge cake, beat yellow of eggs, add sugar, flour then water. beat whites stiff and fold in. bake at 350 25-30minutes

custard, cream sugar, eggs and flour. scald milk and mix into sugar and eggs in dbl boiler til desired thickness. don't get too thick. stir in brandy.

break cake and layer into dish alternating and adding almonds. let sit in fridge overnight. serve with whipped cream
