mix thoroughly the flour, shortening and brown sugar. take 1cup of crumbs for topping. mix together boiling water, molasses and baking Soda. add this to the flour mixture. mix together with wooden spoon just until everything is mixed. pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. sprinkle remaining 1 cup crumbs on top.

Bake at 350° for 40 - 45 minutes
