preheat oven to 350

combine group 1

add the ingredients in group 2 to group 1 and mix

pour batter into 2 round cake pans-evenly distributed

bake 30 to 35 min toothpick comes out crumbly

combine ingredients for the frosting

cool both cakes thoroughly on wire racks. remove cakes. frost one cake completely, place second cake on top, finish frosting all

optional you can add the nuts into the batter or I like to sprinkle some on top of frosted cake.
