in blender puree broth, onion and garlic. pour into large bowl; combine with beef, pork, veal, eggs, breadcrumbs, parsley, cheese, pepper flakes and salt.

with oiled hands, shape into 1/4 cup balls [ aprox 16 balls ]

in 10" skillet, heat 1/2" oil over medium-high heat, add meatballs in batches. cook, turning occasionally, until browned, 10 minutes

add to sauce and simmer for 1 hour
