  1. 1 cupYellow moong lentil /dal -
  2. 1cupCucumber cubes
  3. 1 cupGrated coconut -
  4. 1/2cupTomato seedless - cubes
  5. 2Chopped green chilli -
  6. 1tbspChopped coriander leaves -
  7. 1 tspLemon juice -
  8. to tasteSalt -
  9. Tempering
  10. 1 tspOil -
  11. 1/2 tspBlack mustard seeds -
  12. 1 tspUrad dal / lentil -
  13. 5-6Curry leaves -
  14. 1 pinchAsafoetida /hing -

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the moong dal / lentil over night.

  2. 2

    Then drain moong dal / lentil completely.

  3. 3

    In a bowl add cucumber cubes,grated coconut,tomato cubes,soaked moong lentil / dal,green chilli,coriander leaves,salt and lemon juice and mix well.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a pan.

  5. 5

    Add asafoetida,black mustard seeds,urad lentils / dal,curry leaves and tempered it.
