Ingredients

  • 1 lbblack beans
  • 5 cloves (2 tbsp)minced garlic
  • 1minced large yellow onion
  • 1 tbspsalt
  • 1 tspblack pepper
  • 2 tbspolive oil
  • 3 cupswater

Steps

  1. 1

    Throw beans, water, onion, garlic, and olive oil in large pot

  2. 2

    Bring to a boil

  3. 3

    ‎Reduce heat to low (to simmer) and cover

  4. 4

    Cook for 1 hour covered

  5. 5

    Mix in salt and pepper
