heat mustard oil in a wok

marinate the fish in salt.n.tumeric

fry the fish in the hot oil . about 2 mins each side. till u get a golden color. please dont.fry the fish very crisp else the fish will.not be able to soak the flavours from the curry

remove the fried fidh and set aside for later

in the oil tht is left in the wok (you can add more oil if you want) add the onion seeds or kala.jeera. these seeds lendan unique aroma to the dish

add the cut onion n chillies to this.

fry tikl golden.brown.

add tuneric , salt n some sugar to this. u can add some water incase the onion fry is very dry . a classic tip is to add.some water tothe tumeric.to mske a watery paste n add it tothe fry.

once this is.done add 2 cups.of.water

cover this n bring to boil.

add the fried fish

allow to boil.for a further 8-10 mins

garnish with coriander n serve hot.with rice
