Ingredients

  1. 3boiled egg
  2. 4boiled potatoes
  3. 1/2onion finely chopped
  4. 1/2 tspginger garlic paste
  5. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  6. 1/4 tspchilli powder
  7. 1/4 tspjeera powder
  8. 1 tbspcoriander leaves
  9. 1green chilli chopped
  10. 1/4 tspmustard seeds (rai)
  11. as neededOil for frying
  12. as per tasteSalt
  13. Besan batter :-
  14. 3/4 cup besan
  15. Pinchchilli powder
  16. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  17. 1/2 cupwater or as required
  18. as per tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil the eggs & cut lito 4 pieces length wise

    Mash the boiled potatoes

  3. 3

    In a pan add 1 tsp oil add mustard seeds, when they splutter

  4. 4

    Add finely chopped onions. Saute till soft

  5. 5

    Add ginger garlic paste fry for a min

  6. 6

    Add turmeric powder,chilli powder & jeera powder stir for a min

  7. 7

    Add mashed potatoes chilli & coriander leaves stir for 2 to 3 mins off the flame

  8. 8

    Cool the potato mixture & make a smooth paste

  9. 9

    Besan batter

  10. 10

    Mix besan chilli powder,turmeric powder salt and water to make a smooth pouring batter

  11. 11

    Take a slice of egg & cover the slice with potato mixture. Cover the egg slices in this way

    Heat oil in a kadhai

  13. 13

    Dip the covered eggs in the batter

  14. 14

    Deep fry them on medium to high flame till golden

  15. 15

    Serve with tomato ketchup
