Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and marinate with all the shawarma ingredients except the corn oil.

Cover and let marinate for at least 2 hours.

Cook the marinated chicken in a pan with the corn oil, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked.

For the bread, mix the dry ingredients first, then add the yogurt, oil, simple syrup, and warm water. Knead until you have a soft, non-sticky dough. Cover and let rest for at least 1 hour.

Divide the dough into pieces about the size of a large egg. Roll each piece into a thin, round flatbread using a rolling pin.

Heat a heavy skillet and cook each flatbread until lightly browned on one side, then flip and brown the other side.

Remove the bread and place between two layers of cotton cloth. Repeat until all the dough is used.

Fry potatoes and prepare mayonnaise. Spread mayonnaise on the bread, then add the chicken shawarma and fried potatoes.

Roll up the sandwiches and heat them in a sandwich press.
