preheat oven to 350°F. spray bottom only of dish with nonstick spray. prepare cake mix according to package directions; pour batter into baker. bake 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from center. cool for 15 minutes. remove from dish, continue cooling on a cooling rack.

in small bowl, combine granulated sugar, 1/2 tbsp of the instant coffee granules and boiling water; stir until dissolved and set aside. in a desperate bowl combine cream cheese, powdered sugar and remaining 1/2 tbsp coffee granules; whisk until smooth. fold whipped topping into cram cheese mixture. place 1 cup of cream cheese filling aside for decorating.

cut cake in half horizontally to form two even layers. carefully remove top layer; set aside. brush half of the coffee mixture over bottom cake layer. spread remaining cream cheese filling over cake layer. sprinkle half of grated chocolate morsels on top. carefully top with second cake layer. brush top and sides of cake with remaining coffee mixture. decorate with set aside filling and remaining chocolate.
