mix dry ingredients, blend in shortening well.

add cheese and sourdough starter. mix til just blended, no more than 20 strokes.

put dough on floured counter and fold onto itself 4 times.

pat or roll out 1/2 inch thick. cut with biscuit cutter.

put on greased pan, bake at 400 for 20 min or so.
