Ingredients

  • 2.2 lbsboneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 3 clovesgarlic
  • 1espresso cup olive oil (about 2 tablespoons / 30 ml)
  • 1 cupplain yogurt (about 240 ml)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoonsshawarma spice mix
  • 3 cupsall-purpose flour (about 375 grams)
  • 1 cuphot water, or as needed for the dough (about 240 ml)
  • 1 tablespoonsimple syrup
  • 2 tablespoonsolive oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the chicken with the marinade ingredients and let it sit for 2 hours. Then, either fry or grill the chicken.

  2. 2

    Prepare the dough, roll it out, and bake the flatbreads on a griddle or skillet.

  3. 3

    Fill the bread with the cooked chicken and roll it up.
