Ingredients

15 minutes
Serves 4 servings
  1. 2 canspremium fava beans or homemade (see my page for the method)
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 1 tablespoonground fennel
  4. 1/2 tablespoonvinegar
  5. 1large lemon
  6. Vegetables:
  7. 1/2carrot, grated
  8. 1tomato
  9. 1/2medium onion
  10. 1/2cucumber
  11. 1/4green bell pepper
  12. Small bunch of parsley
  13. Small bunch of lettuce

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Chop all the vegetables into small pieces, grate the carrot, and mix them together.

  2. 2

    Place the fava beans in a pot and mash them slightly with the bottom of a cup.

  3. 3

    Heat over medium heat, add the spices on top of the beans without stirring. Once the beans are slightly warm, stir everything together well and let it heat through.

  4. 4

    Transfer to a serving dish, top with the chopped vegetables and white cheese, garnish as you like, and drizzle with sesame oil or your preferred oil.
