preheat oven to 350.

put stick of softened butter in mixing bowl and add sugar. mix well. add eggs and beat well.

in a small pan, put hot water and add the cocoa. heat and stir until this creates a smooth paste. take off heat and add this to the cake mix. mix again.

in a small bowl, measure out all of the dry ingredients ( flour and soda). add the vanilla to the cup of milk and alternatively add the dry mixture and the milk/vanilla to the cake mixture. beat well.

pour this mixture into 2 lightly greased and floured cakes pans.

bake at 350 for approximately 25-30 mins. insert toothpick into center to check.

for the frosting, mix together softened butter and cream cheese until blended well. add vanilla and mix.

add powdered sugar a little at a time until all blended together.

add peanut butter and mix until all ingredients are blended.

refridgerate until ready to use.

for chocolate topping melt hersheys chocolate bar in microwave until smooth. drizzle over cake after it has been frosted.
