Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 1/2 literbroth (vegatables, chicken or cattle)
  • 6 tbspolive oil
  • 2onions, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 3garlic gloves, finely chopped
  • 1red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 1/4 kgtomato's
  • 4 tbsptomato paste
  • 1/2 bunchof basil, torn into chuncks
  • 1salt
  • 1pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the broth in a pan, and let it cook softly.

  2. 2

    Heat the olive oil in a second pan, and also put the onions, garlic and pepper in the second pan and let it bake till it's soft.

    Cut the tomatos coarse and put it in with the mixture in the second pan.

  4. 4

    Let it cook on medium fire. Mash it a bit while cooking.

  5. 5

    Now add the broth by the mixture. Also put the basil in. Finish it with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

    Put the cover on the pan, and let it cook slowly for 45 minutes on a low fire.
