  • Batter
  • 1 cupflour
  • 2 tspbaking powder
  • 2 tspground ginger
  • 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  • 1/4 cupwhite sugar
  • 50 gramsbutter
  • 1 tbspgolden syrup
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • Sauce
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  • 1 tbspgolden syrup
  • 2 tspground ginger
  • 2 cupboiling water

Steps

  1. 1

    combine dry ingredients

  2. 2

    melt butter with golden syrup

  3. 3

    pour into dry ingredients with milk and mix

  4. 4

    place by greased oven proof dish

  5. 5

    put sauce ingredients in a bowl

  6. 6

    Add the boiling water while stirring until till mostly dissolved

  7. 7

    pour over batter mix

  8. 8

    bake at 180°C for 45 mins
