Ingredients

  • 48each Hershey's kisses (I use caramel)
  • 1/2 cupShortening
  • 3/4 cupCreamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cupSugar
  • 1/3 cupPacked light brown sugar
  • 1each Egg
  • 2 tbspMilk
  • 1 tspVanilla
  • 1 1/2 cupAll purpose flour
  • 1 tspBaking soda
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • 1 as neededGranulated sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oven 375. Remove wrappers from kisses

  2. 2

    Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl. Add granulated sugar & brown sugar, beat til fluffy. Add egg, milk, & vanilla. Beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda & salt. Gradually beat into mixture.

  3. 3

    Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll in sugar place on ungreased cookie sheet

  4. 4

    Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press chocolate into center of each cookie. Move to wire rack. Cool completely.

  5. 5

    Makes about 4 dozens
