Ingredients

  • 16 ozShrimp-raw/peeled
  • 3sm-med bell peppers (any color/variety)
  • 1/2 smallyellow onion
  • 1/2 smallpurple onion
  • 2 1/2 tbspbutter or margerine
  • 1 cupquick grits
  • 4 slicecheese
  • 2 1/2 tspLouisiana Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 tspminced garlic
  • 1/2 tspgarlic powder
  • 1Salt & Pepper to taste

    Thaw and peel shrimp

  2. 2

    dice peppers and onion

  3. 3

    In a large pan put the 2 1/2 TBSP of butter (med-low) heat. Put in diced peppers and onion.

  4. 4

    cook peppers and onion for about 5-8 minutes, or until starting to get soft.

  5. 5

    add 1lb Shrimp and saute til firm and pink (about 5 min)

  6. 6

    Set pan aside

  7. 7

    In a separate pot cook Quick Grits according to package directions for 1cup of grits

  8. 8

    Once grits are cooked add 4 slices of cheese, stir until cheese is blended

  9. 9

    Pour in Shrimp and Pepper mixture into the grits, stir together

  10. 10

    Serve in bowls and enjoy!
