peel onion, cut in half, and slice into thin half circles.

cut apples into small chunks or slices if you prefer.

mix brown sugar with one cup water, stirring vigorously until dissolved.

place 1/3 of apples and onions on bottom of Crockpot. place one chop on top. repeat layers, then put remaining apples and onions on top.

put dissolved sugar into Crockpot.

add the rest of the water, then pour in syrup.

cook on low for eight to nine hours, or on high for two and a half to three.

pull out chops and discard everything else. serve with sides of your choice.

Note: I have a small Crockpot. if yours is larger, the only directions that will change is to do chops in a single layer and increase water, sugar, and syrup accordingly. in a large crock, you can also increase the number of chops and apples/onions.
