large dice apples. do not remove the core
- 2
in a medium sauce pan add apples, vinegar, and water. boil apples for 20 minutes or until soft (not complete mush). stir occasionally to make sure the apples get cooked evenly

strain liquid from apples.

use a fine mesh strainer and push the apples through it. once this is done put apples back into the pan with the rest of the ingredients

cook on a medium high heat while occasionally stirring for 20 minutes. note- if you dont want to constantly watch the pan put it on a low heat and let it cook for a couple hours

pour apple butter in a container to cool in the refrigerator.
