Steps

Preheat oven to 170°C.

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs & pumpkin. Leave to stand.

Sift the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda & spices.

Mix all ingredients well.

Grease & flour 2 x 9" bread tins.

Put mixture in bread tins & bake for 1 hour or until a skewer comes out clean.

Cool on a wire cooling tray, then slice & serve.
