Sausage Gravy with biscuits

My husband loves biscuits and gravy. I made this for him and he loved it. Adding the additional seasonings to the sausage and letting them merry over night adds so much flavor! I'll be making this again!
Sausage Gravy with biscuits
My husband loves biscuits and gravy. I made this for him and he loved it. Adding the additional seasonings to the sausage and letting them merry over night adds so much flavor! I'll be making this again!
Steps
- 1
Place sausage in a medium glassbowl. Add ginger, garlic, sage, salt and pepper. Combine sausage and seasonings without over working meat. Cover and let merry over night.
- 2
Then next morning, heat a skillet over medium high heat.
- 3
Preheat oven and bake biscuits according to the directions on package.
- 4
Back to your skillet, add sausage and brown. Remove sausage after browning into a bowl and set aside. Reduce skillet to medium low.
- 5
Add butter to drippings. With a flat whisk, add flour and mix.
- 6
Slowly add milk and mix together.
- 7
Then add salt, coarse pepper, sage, garlic, and browned sausage.
- 8
Let gravy reduce over medium low for 10 minutes. If gravy hasn't thicken to your liking, add a tsbp of flour or two and let thicken a additional 5 minutes.
