Cooking Instructions
- 1
I start by pounding out my chicken breasts to make them a little thinner. You can skip this step if you don't mind your chicken being meatier.
- 2
Simply layer your chicken breasts in the bottom of your crock pot (salt and pepper lightly if you want).
- 3
Cover the chicken with the Yoshidas Teriyaki Sauce so that all of your chicken is saturate in the sauce.
- 4
Mix it around slightly, so the sauce gets under the chicken too.
- 5
Set your crockpot for whatever cycle is most convenient for you and walk away.
- 6
About 30 minutes before dinner make the Nikkos sticky rice per instructions on the package.
- 7
Remove the chicken breasts onto a cutting board and slice into strips.
- 8
Serve over rice with a little extra sauce (I use the sauce it cooked in, but you can warm up some from the Yoshida bottle if you prefer).

I normally make teriyaki chicken in the oven because I love how the sauce thickens and caramelizes, but it has been far too hot to use the oven this week so this is my version of slow cooker teriyaki chicken based on a variant of my oven recipe. StephieCanCook -

Easy Braised "Teriyaki" Chicken Easy Braised "Teriyaki" Chicken
Our kids love the flavor of regular Teriyaki Chicken, but sometimes I'm not up to the work of it. This braise hits all the notes and makes my life easier.Since "yaki" refers to a direct heat cooking method like grilling, griddling, or even some kinds of pan frying, it wouldn't be quite accurate to call a braised or stewed dish a something-yaki, but this recipe generally mimics the familiar flavor profile we've come to identify with Teriyaki Chicken, so there you have it - Braised "Teriyaki" Chicken. That step to brown and crisp the skin under the broiler is bonus, but in the summer heat, you might prefer to use skinless chicken and skip it. You'll miss out on the skin, but you'll save a little time, energy and discomfort, and you'll still have something delicious and family-friendly to serve up. x -

Easy Oven Baked Teriyaki Chicken Easy Oven Baked Teriyaki Chicken
We love teriyaki chicken, so I like to make a lot for my greedy family! This is possible if you use an oven.Pierce the skin side of the meat several times with a fork before you put it in the marinade. Marinate for at least 30 minutes. Both boneless and bone-in thigh meat should be pierced with a fork on the skin side; also cut several slices into the thick part of the meat on the other side. Slice into the meat next to the bone before marinating. Otherwise, the cooking process should be just same as boneless meat. Please adjust the amount of browning. For 4 servings (for big eaters). Miso Teriyaki Chicken Miso Teriyaki Chicken
I tried re-creating a restaurant dish. Though they used chicken thigh, I used chicken breast.I thought it was pretty much like adding miso into the teriyaki chicken that I usually make at home.To make this chicken tender, first marinate with sake, sugar and salt then coat with katakuriko. If you don't have the white part of a Japanese leak, it's fine to omit. However the key ingredient to this dish is the green onions. So make sure to sprinkle plenty on top. Recipe by Hokkori-no cookpad.japan -
Teriyaki Chicken Teriyaki Chicken
It's tough to make the perfect teriyaki chicken. Sometimes the meat doesn't cook through properly, the sauce isn't glossy enough, or the flavoring ends up a little too subtle. It took some time and practice, but I finally got all these little mishaps out of the way with this recipe!Make sure you wipe off any excess oil as you sauté the chicken until it's golden brown. Take your time simmering the teriyaki sauce to ensure that it is properly reduced before coating it on the chicken. Recipe by Gohannishiyo. cookpad.japan
